Snodland Partnership backs the town’s Football Club

The ambitions of Snodland Town Football Club were given a major boost when the Snodland Partnership agreed to the club’s grant application for £10k to enable the building of a new clubhouse at their ground at Potyns.

The club will now be able to apply for a Football Foundation grant to get the project underway.

Details of the scheme to build the clubhouse were given during a Presentation to members of the Snodland Partnership along with a summary of just how far the club has come in the last four years, with the provision of ground facilities including grandstand seating for spectators and floodlighting. The clubhouse, when completed, will include new changing rooms and a hospitality area for parents, players and supporters on match days. It will also be available for other local organisations and groups to meet during week days enhancing the club’s community activities.

Club chairman,Dave Jeal said ‘ it was a tremendous gesture by the Snodland Partnership to grant this money to the town’s football club and it also acknowledges the fantastic efforts put in by club members over the past four or five years to develop and progress the club’s own ground and will provide a focal point for all the teams now playing at Potyns. The club has moved from strength to strength and it is a great endorsement and hugely encouraging when organisations such as the Partnership are seen to support these efforts.’
