Very proud of the team on Sunday although we lost 4-1 to Hartley in the League Cup Final. The boys showed great character and commitment and played their best football of the season. The result didn’t do us justice as we were the better team and if we had taken our chances the result would’ve have been different. However a great day out and one I won’t forget and hope the boys won’t either.

A massive thanks to the parents for all your support, you have helped through some hard times. Also to my assistant Terry “Tel” Tooze for his help and support. It has been a truly great adventure this season for us all and to get to a Cup Final two years running is some achievement. I look forward to the new season knowing that I have a team that will challenge for the league.”

Martin Smith (Manager)

All the players have lifted their game this season. They are playing great one touch football and the whole team have come together nicely. The boys are showing some great individual performances and training hard, particularly benefiting from the new 3G pitch at Snodland. Their desire, passion, determination and commitment  to win games is outstanding and they are scoring some fantastic goals.

With just 3 games to go until the end of the league campaign manager Martin Smith gives an appraisal on the season to date.

“I am very very proud of this team and they have shown me what a great bunch of lads they are. We have only been together one season and could finish in the top three if results go our way. We have reached another Cup Final for the second year running. We won last year at u13 and now have got the chance to win it at u14, is some achievement. They boys have worked really hard in training and matches and are playing some great one touch football. They are getting noticed as a good side and we are getting inquiries for next season. There is great support from the parents and our sponsors, and I would also like to thank my assistant, Terry, for his help and commitment to this team. We know look forward to the last few games of the season and a Cup Final which will be a great day out. We also will be taking part in summer tournaments, entering two teams in some. Overall the team has had an outstanding season and we are all looking forward to next season.”
