Managers season appraisal below.

All the players have lifted their game this season. They are playing great one touch football and the whole team have come together nicely. The boys are showing some great individual performances and training hard, particularly benefiting from the new 3G pitch at Snodland. Their desire, passion, determination and commitment  to win games is outstanding and they are scoring some fantastic goals.

With just 3 games to go until the end of the league campaign manager Martin Smith gives an appraisal on the season to date.

“I am very very proud of this team and they have shown me what a great bunch of lads they are. We have only been together one season and could finish in the top three if results go our way. We have reached another Cup Final for the second year running. We won last year at u13 and now have got the chance to win it at u14, is some achievement. They boys have worked really hard in training and matches and are playing some great one touch football. They are getting noticed as a good side and we are getting inquiries for next season. There is great support from the parents and our sponsors, and I would also like to thank my assistant, Terry, for his help and commitment to this team. We know look forward to the last few games of the season and a Cup Final which will be a great day out. We also will be taking part in summer tournaments, entering two teams in some. Overall the team has had an outstanding season and we are all looking forward to next season.”

Overall Player Review:
TJ
. Best Keeper I have seen. Has made some quality saves and not afraid at diving at people’s feet. A great shot stopper
Josh improved his game a quality defender on and off the ball and a threat with his shots. Has had his best season ever
Will. Captain that leads from the back has shown great character on and off the pitch & his defending has been exceptional
Charlie Has worked really hard this season has a fantastic throw and a devastating shot. Has defended really well and likes a battle
Harry. Has turned into a Rottweiler with his tackling and his desire to win the ball is fantastic. Has massively improved his game and has really impressed this season.
Luke W. A quality Midfield who works really hard on and off the ball has been the engine room of the team.
Sonny. Quality player strong on and off the ball and real handful, a constant threat who will always get you goals.
Leo. Has massively improved his work rate to win the ball and his passing has been exceptional. Works really hard on the wing.
Biren. Is very quick on the ball and causes loads of problems for defenders. Has a eye for goal and works really hard.
Carter. Playing as a striker he has improved and has done what is asked of him. Works hard on and off the ball.
Oliver. Has totally upped his game and scored some very important goals. Always a threat and has worked really hard.
Frankie. Does what you ask of him, quick on the ball and with his quick feet is a real problem for defenders.
Jack. Has had a good season and scored a good goal. Plays where you ask him to and does a job, doesn’t stop running.
Kamil. New to the team but has settled in well. Does what he is asked and is a good man marker.
Luke K. Recently joined team. A midfielder who reads the game really well and is a great passer of the ball.
Jamie. Unsung hero of this team. Can’t play due to injury but has come along and watched every game this season, completely committed to the team.

MATCH REPORTS

K Sports 2 – 3 Snodland Town (League Cup Semi Final)
Very proud of all the boys today after reaching the u14 League Cup Final for a second year running after beating local rivals K Sports Colts away.

Snodland Nomads 1 v Hartley De Sales 1
Both teams struggled in terrible conditions as the wind caused chaos on and off the pitch. Hartley won the toss and kicked off playing with the wind in their favour. Both sides struggled to play football as the ball was hard to control. The game got very scrappy with not many chances at goal. Hartley eventually put together a counter attack and scored for a 1-0 half time scoreline.
The second half was much the same as the first with both teams finding the conditions challenging. We put together a good move with the ball coming out to Charlie who hit a screamer of an equalising goal. Both sides had opportunities to win it but it was a very good draw for us. The boys are playing fantastic football look organised and well drilled. We have 5 league games left and if results go our way we could finish in the top 3. That’s not bad when we have only been together this season. We also have a cup semi final this Sunday, so all round a great season.
Man of the match: Josh he has been outstanding at the back and has improved with each game and looks so composed on the ball. Jack for his continued improvement doesn’t stop running and does what you ask him to do.
