MATCH REPORTS

K Sports 0-9 Snodland Town
The boys carried on from last week’s performance and upped their game today playing some quality football. Our defence was well organised and solid. Midfield were strong and aggressive and closed the opposition down quickly. Our strikers played as a pair and were a constant threat.
We started off strong and soon went 1.0 (Biren) following a quality break. A second from Biren followed another break. The opposition then put together a couple of good moves but their final shots were off target. We put together some great counter attacks. Carter made it 3.0 then Biren completing his hat trick for 4.0. The opposition started to tire and we scored again through Harry with more goals from Josh, Biren , Carter & Frankie making a very pleasing 9.0 scoreline. Great team spirit today. Man of the match: Luke and Josh.

Snodland Town 5 – 0 K Sports
This was the best game we have played this season. We set out at 3-5-2 playing deeper at the back.
The back three of Charlie, Will and Josh looked comfortable and organised on the ball. The midfield was sharp and very strong and worked hard at closing the opposition down. We played our one touch football and had various chances in the first fifteen minutes which saw their keeper making some great saves.
A great move saw Oliver scoring to make it 1-0. Further opportunities were created from which again their keeper made some outstanding saves. Carter made it 2-0 and a quality finish from Biren put us three up. Two more scores from Carter & Frankie gave us the game at 5-0. It could have been more if wasn’t for the heroics of their keeper.  Man of the match: Harry & Luke

Lenham Wanderers 2 – 2 Snodland Town
We went back to a 3-5-2 formation which definitely suited us better. The back three looked organised and all worked hard. TJ made some fine saves and we played some good football, moving the ball well. Lenham went ahead after we didn’t deal with the ball properly. However, we pressed and created chances but the Lenham keeper made some quality saves. A Lenham counter attack resulted in a 2-0 half time score line. Following a couple of changes at the interval Oliver scored with his first touch. We now had more of the game with Josh going close from two free kicks. Carter, Sonny, Luke & Harry all got shots off on goal. TJ made more saves from the Lenham attack. At a break away we had a couple of shots on goal that were not cleared by Lenham and Charlie hit a screamer to make it 2.2. Both teams looked for a winner but couldn’t find it. Man of the match – Leo, played a great game in midfield.

Snodland Nomads 4 Castle Wanderers 5
The boys struggled massively in first half and at half time were 4-1 down. We couldn’t keep up with their strikers who were too quick for our defenders. We looked disjointed all through the side, although Harry scored our first half goal. Changing the formation from 4-4-2 back to 3-5-2 in the second half we were a different team playing some great football. Frankie at right back was outstanding and Will in midfield had his best game for us. Harry played as a striker and played very well and TJ again made great saves. We then got back in the game with goals from Harry, Sonny and Frankie making it 4-4. Castle attacked and scored in the last minute to make it 4-5. Very pleased with second half performance, 3-5-2 definitely suits us. Man of the match-Frankie.
