Simon has appointed Ian Varley (who currently manages the Kent FA under 18 side) as his assistant and three experienced coaches to help him.
The full management team are:

Simon spoke to “Kentish Football” (kentishfootball.co.uk) and said of the move to Snodland Town, “We met with Dave Jeal (Chairman) and had a really good normal football conversation and shared the same aims and it all clicked into place. It’s now a case of going through the little black book to see who wants to have another go with us at a brilliant little club with great potential.
“We will give Snodland the same professionalism we give to our day-to-day jobs and with the right players and a bit of time we’ll see what happens.
“The previous managers Simon Austin and Kane Rice have been held in high regard here with the level of professionalism they brought and I hope to use that as a platform to take things on further still.
“People who know me know I love to play football in an attractive and open way and we want players who will be willing to work hard and learn our style and weird and wonderful ways but overall to enjoy it.”
Club Chairman Dave Jeal added “We are very pleased to have moved quickly in appointing Simon and we are especially happy somebody of his quality and experience shares the clubs vision.”
Following two very successful seasons managing the Under 18s when finishing second on both occasions the players and the management team have stepped up to adult football for the coming season. Now too old to play youth football the lads have kept a very happy side together and enabled the club to re-join the Maidstone and Mid Kent League following a seasons lay off.
Manager Gary Jeffrey is joined by two assistant managers, Steve Moss and Jack Peach and has been very busy strengthening the squad ready for the challenge. He is confident that the whole team will rise to the occasion of being in the leagues Premier Division.
